In the wake of the economic crisis and the enduring impacts of war, an ambitious educational assistance program is being implemented to uplift children in 22 provinces across the northern, eastern, and north-central regions of Sri Lanka. This initiative is a beacon of hope for impoverished families, aiming to address the urgent educational needs of children who face challenges in accessing quality education due to financial hardships and disrupted livelihoods.
The program encompasses multiple components designed to make a meaningful impact. It provides direct educational support to 75 deserving students, ensuring they have access to learning materials and resources essential for their academic success. Additionally, specialized seminars are organized for students preparing for their Ordinary Level (O/L) examinations, equipping them with the knowledge, strategies, and motivation needed to excel. Scholarships are also awarded to bright and deserving students, alleviating financial burdens and enabling them to pursue their education without interruption.
Led by P. Sasikala in partnership with C-Korea, this initiative underscores the importance of education as a tool for empowerment and recovery. By focusing on vulnerable children in regions most affected by the crisis and conflict, it seeks to nurture the next generation, instilling in them the confidence and skills necessary to overcome challenges and build a brighter future. The program is a testament to the transformative power of education and the commitment to ensuring no child is left behind.
